How the Business Started
     Sweet Home bakeshop is owned by entrepreneur Tess V. Dilla. At first, it was a hobby that turned into a business.

It was her interest and great passion for cooking and baking that she resigned from her job at Robina Corp. and went on to establish the bakeshop. It was in 1984 when she decided to open the bakeshop, right were she is most comfortable, her home in Pasig.

As the shop¡¯s name implies, all cakes and pastries are baked and decorated at home giving their bakeshop products the distinction of being home-made." Having something home-cooked or home-baked always feels more special." The customer also feels special because the service and attention they get is more personalized..

Competitive Edge of Sweet Home Bakeshop

The bakeshop is one of a handful of local bakeshops which pioneered and succeeded in making personalized home-baked cakes especially the ¡°choco fondant¡± type of wedding cakes with intricate hand-painted embroidery. Its unique and extra ordinaire designs for decorated cakes differentiate it from other bakeshops.

It also have reasonable tag prices and have customized and personalized service that can work out any budget, design and motif of the client.

 Mrs. Dilla is also personally involved from the process of baking the cake, to the decorating and down to its delivery and assembly. And her passion leads to never-ending drive to attain the best products. Furthermore, to update herself, she? resorts to reading the latest cooking and baking books and magazines worldwide and correspondence from the International Cake Exploration Society where she is affiliate member.

THE PRODUCTS

     Sweet Home have personalized / customized products that would guaranty its customer the freshly baked products. They make use of the best and fresh ingredients and does make use of pre-mixed ingredients that other commercial bakeshop use. Like any meticulous craftsman, she personally tends to every masterpiece, especially to her fondant cakes, which are the bakeshop 's specialty .

     The market for baked products are obviously held by several commercial bakeshops. Sweet Home bakeshop are happy with their captured market but still wants to attract more customers and to compete with other bakeshops but would definitely continue to give customers their baked products comparable quality to the best in the world.

THE PROMOTION

Sweet Home bakeshop believes that through word of mouth, people would try and start liking their products. They rely on different print advertisements such as magazines and news papers for promotion. Furthermore they engage in several food bazaars & bridal exhibits.
